Proper money management is required in anything you do. As we outlined in this article; "Why Handicappers are no different than Financial Advisers" - Money Management is to Gambling what Asset Allocation is to investing - You spread your money across all the asset classes to negate risk and depending on your risk profile, you adapt the spread of assets accordingly.
Our Money Management uses the same ethos.
We use the "Dime" rating system. There are many ratings systems out there, you'll hear things like "Units", "Stars", "Diamonds" and so on. For all intents and purposes we could use "Matchsticks", "Gold Nuggets" or even "Cheerios!".
We Use "Dimes" out of respect for the pioneers of this industry who used - and still use, the "Dime" rating system.
Each day the plays will be rated for Money Management purposes. To keep it sweet and simple, we're going to use a scale of 10 dimes to 100 dimes. Naturally a 40 dime play is worth twice as much as a 20 dime release. Thus, twice as much of your bankroll for that given day should be allocated toward the 40 dimer as opposed to the 20 dimer.
With that said, below is our money management system. Dime values released are based on a £500 bankroll, so each dime would equal £1. Depending on your bankroll, whether it is more or less, you can use the percentages below.
10 dime = 2% of your bankroll
20 dime = 4% of your bankroll
30 dime = 6% of your bankroll
40 dime = 8% of your bankroll
50 dime = 10% of your bankroll
75 dime = 15% of your bankroll
100 dime = 20% of your bankroll
So for example, if we published a bet valued at 75 dime and you started off with a bankroll of £500, you would make a bet of £75.00 on that pick.
- And the reason for Dimes all falls into place!
You are also able to view our Statistics where our current performance and total dimes +/- are recorded.
